[Ardchattan & Muckairn]  Extract from 'A Statistical Account of Argyleshire'
Pp468-522 bound in marbled boards, black buckram spine.  We imagine this 1844 account - and it isn't just a load of figures and tables - may be all you'll find in print on this mountainous parish which straddles Loch Etive.  Attractive little book.   (ref 1180)  *£20.00

[Kilninver] Invoice for Repairs to the Church
Invoice from Malcolm Brown, slater & plasterer of Balvicar by Oban, for work done in 1911. Only very brief details shown. (Ref C195/34) *£2.50

[Lorn Poor House] Invoices
1860s-1870s invoices from 5 Oban traders for goods supplied. (ref C195/32) *£5.00

Highways and Byways in Mull
P A MacNab, 1981 2nd ed. 56pp, bound with the original card covers in buckram boards. 'This booket is designed for motorists, walkers, and anyone interested in the many known and lesser known items to be seen along the 150 miles of roads, or within walking distance, together with the traditions and stories behind them, many of which would otherwise be forgotten with the passing of an older generation'. There's just the right balance between not-enough and too-much detail and I'd certainly take the book with me should I visit Mull. VG. (ref 8216) *£3.50

Oban
Ward Lock Red Guide, 11th ed 1947. Front board loose, generally G. £2.00

[Oban & District] Summonses for Debts
A super collection of perhaps 100 summonses for small debts issued on behalf of the Sheriff of Argyllshire during the period 1911 to 1930s. I haven't counted them all as they are intermingled with other documents. A few leases were noted, and there is also some copy correspondence concerning Lorn Buildings. The summonses are accompanied in most cases by billheads from unpaid suppliers, many of them local. A local history project in its own right. (ref 7626) £48.00
Not for export

[St Columba Church] 6 Invoices
1890-1909 invoices from 4 Oban traders for goods supplied or repairs carried out to the church. (ref C195/33) *£4.00
